“The magic Aisha and channeled through this shoot is a testament to intuitive creation & the laws of attraction.

After spending a month in my father’s home country I met a brilliant, fashionable, feisty Sagittarius. I had been craving sister energy, like minded individuals, and creative folks to flow along side. All which manifested in my friendship with Aisha. When Aisha and I decided we were going to create together, we both knew it had to happen before my departure the following month. After weeks of talking through ideas, wardrobe sourcing, and location scouting, we ended up shooting in her yard on my last day in Ethiopia (in the midst of me packing for an 11pm flight).

The pieces Aisha styled herself in belong to my eldest sister, a traditional diriya & gogorath worn to her own accord. A Habesha Beer t-shirt and Nike air max shoes paired with the traditional silky under garment made the illest combination in my opinion; street wear with an unconventionally soft twist.

While conceptualizing this shoot we had played with the idea of "outsiders looking in". Myself, a half Ethiopian girl who doesn't exactly "look the part" and Aisha being a half Kenyan girl with a more typical Habesha appearance. Two young women with a western flair and an outspoken confidence, this collaboration was our way to visually and artistically communicate our love and honor for Ethiopian culture & style.”
